The first insight from user testing was that there isn't a standardized way to hold a whisk. Grip styles were contingent to the ingredients and desired result.

If I’m whisking for more than 10 minutes, it’s almost always in a pot or pan over heat I feel pain in my forearms mainly.

Erik

Age 31

Location Brooklyn, New York

Occupation Pastry Chef

I would whisk a variety of batters and fillings for around 8 - 10 minutes I’d mainly feel pain in the thenar muscles and carpal tunnel

Jamie

Age 25

Location Brooklyn, New York

Occupation Line Cook

When whisking, I feel fatigue first in the forearm and then bicep. If I were using a whisk it would be to combine ingredients, like you’re whisking dry ingredients together to mix them well.

V1 and V2 are too small, wouldn’t allow me to drive through a thicker batter. V3 feels unbalanced.

I’d like to see a flat side on V3

Widen the channel on V5, my thumb feels restricted when changing grip.

V7 feels too long, forcing my hand at the top.

Inset silicone prevents slipping & wide channel encourages thumb indexing
